Aeroflow Performance Titanium bolts, studs and nutsare machined from 6AL-4V grade5 Titanium and the small head design is ideal when fitting into a recess or tight areas to give maximum clearance. These titanium bolts are the favoured material for a fastener due to the attractiveproperty of being a low-density metal, which has ahigher tensile strength than many other materials, even in higher temperatures. Given this strength, titanium is remarkably light. When compared to steel in a strength-to-weight ratio, titanium is far superior, as it is as strong as steel but 45% lighter. In fact, titaniumhas the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all known metals. The pairing of their high strength to weight ratio, excellent resistance to stress corrosioncracking, high corrosion resistance and good fatigue strength make it the best choice to have in your race car. An option of a 12 point head or 6 point single hex areavailable. The all-metal locking nuts have no plastic inserts of any kind. They’re effective under even the harshest conditions, extreme temperatures and works well under a high level of vibration. Note: Locking nuts will wind on freely until theyhit the metal inserts at the top of the nut, then a tool isrequired to tighten nut all the way down.
