Threebond Anaerobic adhesives are utilised in many areas. Applications can include securing nuts and bolts from loosening due to vibration or retaining bearings or pulleys to shafts etc.
Anaerobic adhesives are a convenient and effective solution to many assembly applications. These type of adhesives will only cure when in contact with metals and are devoid of air.
Threebond 1386B for instance, is a specialised welch plug adhesive that unlike other types of adhesives/sealants used for this application, any excess that may make it’s way into water jackets will not cure due to the anaerobic cure of 1386B.
